Early 1800's Suffolk style thumb latch in wrought iron, restored and complete.  Thumb press is scooped and pinned with a straight lift which will accommodate a door up to 1" thick without modification.  Handle measures 8  5/8" high x  2 3/8" across widest part of the cusps.  Hand grasp has a 4 3/4" grip opening and is a rounded well formed handle.  A well executed early thumb latch showing even surface aging.  The bar set is a new steel replacement with a  6 1/2" bar, a 1 1/2" high drive-in staple with 1 3/4" drive-in prongs, and a drive-in jamb keeper 2 5/8" overall.  Complete with mounting screws.
