Part Number: 100-860

A nicely executed early 1700's wrought iron Norfolk style thumb latch with rounded handle ending in the mounting spikes through the door and clinched to mount in place.  A well formed full Norfolk back plate measures 6 3/4" high x 2" at widest.  The thumb press is flat with an unusual curled end shown in third photo close-up below.  The notched lift will accommodate a door up to 1 1/4" thick and is nicely curved at the end along with a small hole probably put in for use with a lift string. The accompanying bar set features a 6 3/4" original bar, surface mount replacement staple and keep (each 2 1/4" high x 3/4") from our own shop.  Restored to a black finish and complete. Back plate shows small amount of aged surface roughness appropriate for it's age but in solid condition.
