Highly ornate cast iron horizontal rim lock manufactured circa
1890's, with the letter C and a star.
These locks were made to commemorate America's upcoming entry into the new 20th
Century. Lock measures 3 1/4" x 4
1/4" and is reversible, restored, and complete with original white
porcelain door knobs, cast iron trim with decorative edge key escutcheon, plain
rosette, and one key. A night latch is on the top edge of the lock which allows the door knobs to be locked for privacy
without using the keyed dead bolt. Matching keeper measures 7/8" wide. Back set to key way center is 2 1/4" - to knob center is 4 3/4". Restored to a black finish. We include slotted mounting screws.1 Available
