Description

Cast iron vertical rim lock, Circa 1885, reversible, restored, and complete. Marked with the Reading Hardware Co. ribbon logo on the left hand side showing when mounted. The right hand side has no markings. Shows interesting linear decoration on edge of lock near the face and also the keeper. In excellent condition measuring 4" high x 3 1/4" across the body. The keeper is 4" high x 7/8" wide additional and mounts on the jamb. Lock is complete with original cast iron irregular shaped key escutcheon, rosette, white porcelain door knobs, and one key. Nigh latch at the top allows the knobs to be locked for privacy without using the keyed bolt. Back set is 2 1/2" - spacing is 2 1/2". Restored to black finish, working very well, and ready to use. Buyer may request the lock be set up for specific hand door before shipping with a Comment in the order. Comes with mounting screws.
