Ornate cast iron horizontal rim lock manufactured circa 1890's, with the letters S H Co. in a circle.  These locks were made circa 1890.  Lock measures 3 1/4" x 4 1/4" and is reversible, restored to a black finish, and complete with original white porcelain door knobs, cast iron trim with key escutcheon, rosette, and key.  Lock has a nightlatch on the top edge of the lock which allows you to lock the door knobs for privacy without using the keyed bolt.  Keeper measures 7/8" additional on jamb.  Bolts are cast brass.  Back set is 3" to knob center.  Complete with slotted mount screws.
