Antique cast iron spring loaded foot bolt for door, circa 1870. restored to black finish, and complete.  Front of bolt has a swing catch to keep the bolt retracted which is activated by toe release to extend the bolt into the floor keeper.  The brass knob at the top is pulled up to retract the bolt and the swing catch is moved into place to hold the bolt retracted again and ready to be released.  Swing catch is pictured in both unlocked and locked positions.  This bolt still has a strong spring and measures 6  3 4"  high from the top of the brass knob to the bottom of the bolt base x about 2  3/8" at widest hole mounts x 3/4" thick.  The brass knob is almost 1" diameter.   Floor receiver measures 2 3/4" x 1 1/8" x 1/4" insert into floor.  A very unusual floor bolt mechanism.
