Antique Suffolk thumb latch in wrought iron circa 1800, documented as a known Connecticut style in the Albert Sonn "Early American Wrought Iron" book.  Well executed handle measures 10 3/4" high overall x 2 1/4" at widest - hand grasp is 4" inside and has 1 3/4" wide flat front.  Side view of flat thumb press below shows the slightly curved notched lift to grasp on the offside that will accommodate a door up to 2" thick.  The accompanying bar set, pictured below,  is original with a 6 1/2" bar,  1 5/8" high drive-in staple, and a 3 1/2" drive-in keeper.  Comes complete with screws.
