Description

Antique open work wrought iron surface mount plate latch, circa 1800, offers slide privacy bolt with brass slide operator. Latch measures 3 1/2"high x 3 1/2" and is accompanied by early original brass narrow neck oval knobs with early center nut mount. Knob measure 1 3/4" x 1 1/4" - brass rosette is our own replacement. This type of latch is not reversible and is right hand only and the knobs are presently fitted for a 1 3/8" door but can be modified for any door thickness upon request in the Comments Section when ordering. Latch is in excellent condition, restored to black finish, and complete with drive-in keeper 2 1/2" length x 1 1/8" high. Backset to knob center is 2 5/8". Comes complete with slotted screws.
